a lot 单独见到的时候理解为副词,比如说,
Thanks a lot for helping.
It is a lot harder than I expected.(这里a lot=much)
I go swimming a lot.(频率副词)
a lot of 或者 lots of 理解成形容词,比如说,
A lot of people went to the game.
Lots of people went to the game.
A lot of snow falls in winter.
Lots of snow falls in winter.
people是可数,snow是不可数.a lot of 和 lots of 都是很多的的意思,可以交换使用.
